Regattar is a browser-based sailing race game, currently in testing. Here we explain, in plain words, what data we use and what for.
What data we use
- From your Google account (when you sign in with Google): your name, your email and your profile picture. We don't access your emails, contacts, files or anything else in your account.
- From the game: the races you sign up for, your boat's name, the orders you give (heading, sails, routes) and your boat's position.
What others can see
- Your name (the one on your Google profile), your boat's name, its position, its wake and your place on the leaderboard.
- Your email and your orders (your strategy) are not shown to anyone.
What we use it for
Only so you can play: to identify you, move your boat, and show the race and the leaderboard. We don't sell or share your data with anyone for advertising.
Where it is stored
The site runs on Vercel and the data is stored in Supabase (servers in São Paulo, Brazil). We use a session cookie so you don't have to sign in every time; we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account and all your data by writing to aleeinstoss@gmail.com. We'll do it as soon as we can.
Changes
If something important changes, we will update this page.
